Genevieve Baudoin
Assistant Professor | College of Architecture, Planning, and Design - Kansas State University
Genevieve Baudoin is an Assistant Professor of Architecture at Kansas State University and a Registered Architect in New Mexico. Her research is in the changing tectonic relationship of site and structure in architecture, and in developing representational tools and strategies to understand and promote these complexities.
I studied beneath Professor Baudoin for Building Construction Sciences II, fourth year summer studio (2018), and fith year studio (2019-2020). She has fostered my ability to understand complex details,
create clear technical drawings, and integrate efficient systems within my buildings.
Gary Coates
Professor | College of Architecture, Planning, and Design - Kansas State University
A keynote speaker, lecturer and workshop leader at more than one hundred conferences in the United States and Europe, Coates has been widely recognized for decades as a leading voice in the movement to create sustainable buildings, cities and bioregions based on climatically adapted and culturally situated architectures of place.
His seminar on the topic of Deep Beauty helped me develop my architectural writing skills and nourished my understanding and interest in the subjects of phenomenology and biophilia.
Tim de Noble, AIA
Dean | College of Architecture, Planning, and Design - Kansas State University
Tim de Noble, AIA has served as dean of the College of Architecture, Planning & Design at Kansas State University since 2009. In my time at K-State I have acted in the Dean's Student Advisory Counsel and worked with him in multiple different capacities for the numerous student organizations I was/am involved in.
As a whole, Dean de Noble has seen a great deal of my extracurricular work, the most notable being my work in the National Organization of Minority Students. I have also worked with him as an APDesign Ambassador and on a Tuition Review Committee with the Student Governing Association.
Here, then, is what I wanted to tell you of my architecture. I created it with courage and idealism, but also with an awareness of the fact that what is important is life, friends, and attempting to make this unjust world a better place in which to live.

about mE
Colorado native. Mexican food enthusiast. Bibliophile. Unapologetic dreamer.
I am an independent and introverted person blessed with a boundless curiosity. Constantly searching for new information, adventures, and challenges, I strive to see the world as it could be, instead of as it is. I believe that architecture is a story, written through the history and culture of its surroundings and the experiences of those that interact with it. As such, I hope to reconnect people with place through the application of subjects such as phenomenology, critical regionalism, biophilia, and designing for diversity.
